GreenSafe Neighbors Part 3

Thanks to the Natick High School Earth Club, got a chance to deploy the "placeholder" hydrant markers around NHS today.  We (Natick Taxpayers) spent nearly $90,000,000 on the new HS.  Ought to be able to locate all the new hydrants in case of fire and big snow storm.
Also deployed a "placeholder" mutt mitt station at Pegan Cove Park.  Dog waste problems continue to plague us all over town.  BTW, "place holder" means that it may work until the Trails Maintenance Committee is able to establish real Mutt Mitt Stations at all of our Trailheads.  I serve as Secretary of that Committee; we're working on it.  But we could use your help; we have two vacancies and need to fill them.
Nonetheless I believe the vast majority of dog owners and walkers pick up after their pets.  We struggle with a small minority of folks who just don't understand how toxic pet waste is and what it does to our parks, trails, and waterways.  With your help, we'll persist in trying to educate them, and perhaps change their hearts and minds.  Let me know what you think.  We need your ideas here.  --Pat
