Serious Storm Water and Erosion Problems in the Natick Town forest

A couple of days ago the Town Forest Committee (TFC) and Natick Trails Maintenance Committees (NTMC) took a little "scout hike" through the Hunnewell Town Forest to assess projects for volunteers on Natick Trails Day.  Bob Watjen, a member of our Committee (NTMC), suggested we check out the erosion cascading down off of Terrace Rd. and the Jehovah Witness parking area.  The two streams appear to join together and then Wow!  We clearly need some heavy equipment from DPW to fix this problem.  And whatever underground drainage is designed for that area doesn't appear to be working.  I went over Thursday (9/12) and snapped a few photos.  Citizens should be aware of this serious problem in the Natick Town Forest.  It's our Flagship Trail and Conservation Area (100 acres of glorious woodlands; we need to protect it.)--Pat

but check out this horrible situation drain pipe broken and totally clogged not far down from Terrace Rd.
