Some Challenges in our Conservation Areas

An update:
My friends in Wayland, Framingham, Natick.  We have more work to do.  I visited two gorgeous areas in Wayland and one in Framingham.  Loker Conservation Area and Greenways: picked up about 40 piles of pet waste near the Kiosk and parking lot, despite strong signage and the availability of mutt mitt bags and BHLF Trash / Recycle Unit.  Met two dog owners or walkers and talked to them.  Tried to "fire them up" about cleaning up after their dogs.  Both had pet waste bags with them, took my card, and said they would be willing to help.
Heard Pond Great Meadows Wildlife Kiosk along Pelham Island Road: not bad on pet waste, but a handful of beer bottles/cans, coffee cups, cigar wrappers (kids use them to pack in the dope, and smoke them).  We have similar issues in several Natick Trail areas.  --Pat
Little Farms Landing, Framingham, behind the Cameron MS: an absolutely exquisite landing along the Sudbury River (one of the most beautiful rivers in the Eastern USA).  Sadly a similar report: the BHLF trash / recycle unit was buried in snow berms created by the plows; beer cans/bottles, fast food packaging, water bottles, condoms, etc.
Lots of work to do; but we can do it.  Imagine a world in which young people and miseducated citizens were engaged in healing the earth and giving back to their communities instead of drinking / smoking and tossing their litter (pet waste) into pristine natural areas.  It could happen.  Come on America, here's your challenge.  --Pat
