2 Massachusetts Men Charged With Stealing More than $2K from Macy's

The following arrest information was supplied by the Natick Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A call to the Natick Police Department from Macy's on Jan. 4 resulted in the arrest of two men.

According to the Natick police log, the call came in just before 2 p.m. from the company's loss prevention department, which reported two males who may have stolen sunglasses

After responding officers completed an investigation, the following Massachusetts men were arrested:

  • Rolando Ortiz, 39, 6 Wyman St., Worcester: charged with larceny over $250, conspiracy and resisting arrest;
  • Luis A. Rodriguez, 42, of 34 Willow St., Apt. 2, Whitinsville: charged with larceny over $250 and conspiracy.

According to the police report, after officers tallied all of the merchandise, there were 13 items recovered either in the vehicle or on Ortiz and Rodriguez.  

The items totaled $2,265.40.

Both men were scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court on Jan. 6.
