ARRESTS: Natick Teen Charge in Baseball Bat Assault

The Natick Police Department supplied the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

Stephanie T. Penning, 24, of Braeburn Circle in Leominster, was arrested at 7:25 p.m. on July 7, on a larceny over $250 charge.

She was also charged with a default warrant out of Fitchburg District Court on a possession of a Class C substance charge.

She was arrested after police were called to J.C. Penny for a report of a shoplifter. Penning allegedly attempted to steal $436 worth of merchandise.

A 17-year-old juvenile from School Street Extension in Natick was arrested at 4:32 p.m. on July 8, and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

According to police, an officer was called to the home for a domestic disturbance. The weapon in question was a baseball bat, according to the report.
