Family of Three Charged with Shoplifting From JCPenney

The following information was provided by the Natick Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

Friday, July 12

10:33 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on North Main St. and arrested Yonatan Calderon, 18, of 30 Pratt St., Apt. 2, Framingham, on charges of unlicensed operation and marked lanes violation.

12:40 p.m.: Officers responded to a crash on Worcester Street. Isma Mugenyi, 24, of 400 Hollis St., Apt., 2, Framingham, was arrested on a warrant charge out of Framingham District Court for unlicensed operation.

10:10 p.m.: Officers responded to JCPenney where a mother and her two children had been detained by loss prevention for shoplifting. Blanca Tapia, 67, of 23 Elmfield Rd., Framingham and her daughter, Grace Simon, 39, of 23 Elmfield Rd., Framingham were charged with larceny over $250, conspiracy and receiving stolen property under $250. Blanca's son, Holger Tapia, 32, of 23 Elmfield Rd., Framingham was charged with shoplifting over $100 by asportation after he put on six pairs of underwear in a fitting room at JCPenney and attempted to leave the store without paying.

4:21 p.m.: Officers arrested Huong Nguyen, 47, of 10 Everett Gaylord, Apt. 4, Worcester on charges of larceny over $250 and malicious destruction of property. Nguyen had reportedly taken several dresses in to a fitting room and destroyed two of them while trying to remove the security tags with a pair of clippers.

6:52 p.m.: An officer arrested William C. Kennedy, 23, of 201 Union St., Apt. 2, on a warrant charge out of Natick District Court for failing to appear for probation.

Sunday, July 14

1:23 a.m.: Emanuel J. Edwards, 19, of 4A Carlson Rd., Framingham, was arrested after a traffic stop on Speen Street. Edwards had a an arrest warrant charge of receiving stolen property out of Framingham District Court.
