Local Man Arrested on Assault Charge is a Natick Cop

Sean Munger was arrested early on Oct. 31.

A call to the Natick Police Departement early on Oct. 31 resulted in the arrest of a local police officer.

According to the Natick police log, a person called the department at about 2:38 p.m. to report a domestic problem was in progress.

Officers were dispatched to 8 Dartmouth St. to investigate the report.

After an investigation was completed, Sean David Munger, 32, of the same address, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery.

According to the Town of Natick website, Munger is a patrolman for the Natick Police Department.

He was arraigned at Framingham District Court later in the day.

"The matter is currently under investigation and one involving personnel decisions," the Natick Police Department said in an email. "Officer Munger is presently on Administrative Leave."
