Natick Man Reports Accident, Winds Up Arrested on OUI Charge

The following arrest information was supplied by the Natick Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Natick Police Department made an unusual arrest early Wednesday morning after a resident walked into the police station to report an accident.

According to the Natick police log, the resident walked in at 3:43 a.m. to report the accident.

The resident said he crashed his car into the curb somewhere on Summer Street and that the vehicle was still at the scene.

An assisting officer located the car with help from the resident.

The officer reported there was property damage and the building inspector should be notified.

After an investigation was completed, William Allen Whitfield, 21, of 57 Lakeview Ave., was arrested and charged with:

  • OUI liquor;
  • Negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

The car was towed from the scene.

Whitfield was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court later in the day.
