Natick Police Seek Help in Possible ID Theft Case

The men allegedly tried to purchase $18,000 worth of items on a fake card.

According to Lt. Brian Grassey of the Natick Police Department, on April 26, a fraudulent credit card was presented at a store in the Natick Mall in an alleged attempt to purchase about $18,000 worth of items. 
The victim of never lost possession of his card and is now believed to be a victim of identity theft. 
According to police, two men were together during the alleged purchase attempt. The card was swiped but it was declined due to the extraordinarily large amount of the sale. 
"It is believed that somehow the card was manufactured," Grassey said in a statement. "The two suspects then exited the store."
