Natick Police Seek Stolen Helmet from Memorial Site

No other damage reported.

The Natick Police Department is asking for the public's help in recovering a helmet stolen from the Fallen Soldier's Memorial at the Natick VFW.

Natick PD is reporting officers of the VFW believe the helmet was stolen just before Sept. 15.

"We remain hopeful that the person(s) who did this will realize the gravity of the act and return it to the rightful place," the Natick Police Department posted on its Facebook page.

The memorial honors fallen soldiers from Massachusetts, as well as other resident from Natick who were killed in action while serving. Constructed in 2012, it includes boots, a rifle and a helmet.

No other parts of the memorial were damaged.
