Natick Police Warn About Asphalt Scam

An alert from the Natick Police Department:

A resident was approached today (May 12) by an unknown subject offering paving services. As we have warned before, this is not a legitimate business practice. There is no such thing as "extra asphalt" and there is no deal to be had by allowing these individuals to work at your home. The work is typically shoddy, the materials sub-standard and the price often skyrockets while doing the job.

If you see contractors going door to door in your neighborhood you are asked to call Dispatch: 508-647-9500 so we can check them out.

This is the subject knocking on doors today near downtown offering both sealing and paving services. Described as a white male, American accent, seemed as though he was under the influence of something. Vehicle was an older four door pickup truck with different colored doors and parts containing at least three more individuals.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call 508-647-9520
