Natick Fire Chief On Paid Leave

The Selectmen placed Fire Chief James Sheridan on leave Tuesday morning.

Fire Chief James Sheridan is on paid administrative leave following a decision by the Board of Selectmen made Monday night.

“The board of selectmen placed Chief Sheridan on paid administrative leave this morning,” said Board Chair Carol A. Gloff Tuesday afternoon.

Gloff declined to give any further information on the decision, saying that it would likely not be discussed in open session by the selectmen as it is a personnel matter.

“We don’t comment on personnel matters,” she said declining to comment on the length of time Sheridan is expected to remain on leave.
