U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and
Engineering Center, in Natick, researchers are working on something that previously seemed
impossible – pizza that has shelf life, according to The Associated Press.
Researchers at the lab believe they’ll soon be able to have the ability to create a recipe for pizza that will allow for it to be stored for three years and still be edible.
Researchers say that pizza is something often requested by soldiers in the field but something that is unable to sustain in the battlefield conditions.
