Natick Public Schools Maintains Level 2 Rating

Four student groups failed to meet goal.

The Massachusetts Department of Education has given Natick Public Schools a Level 2 rating, the same as it was in 2012.

NPS received the rating because one or more schools in the district was classified as Level 2.

All Massachusetts districts and schools with sufficient data are classified into one of five accountability and assistance levels, with the highest performing in Level 1 and lowest performing in Level 5. In general, a district is classified into the level of its lowest performing school, unless the district was classified into Level 4 or 5 as a result of action by the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.

NPS struggled with the high needs (59), low income (65), disability (55), and hispanic/Latino (67) student groups, as all came up short of goal. Goal is scoring 75 or higher.
