In 2012, Natick High School bid farewell to the Red and Blue as the town voted for a new school mascot.
On Oct. 11, the new Red Hawk mascot made its debut at the high school.
Students and staff voted overwhelmingly to change the mascot name to the Red Hawks.

The mascot change came after a 2007 school committee vote, banishing Natick's original Redmen name, considering it offensive to Native Americans.
The school had temporarily played under the name Red and Blue, the school's colors.
