Natick Residents to Run for Cancer Research

Seven Natick residents will run for the Dana Farber Institute in the Boston Marathon in April.

 

Seven Natick residents will run in the 116th Boston Marathon in April to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Kevin Bernier, Dan Garvey, Donna Missle, Robert Rochelle, Noelle Sneider,
Edward Sullivan, and Steven Taylor will run the 26.22 miles from Hopkinton to Boston. The Natick residents will run with others across the country with a goal of raising $4.8 million for the Dana-Farber Institute and cancer research. Invitational runners are committed to raising $4,000 and those who have entered the marathon on their own are committed to $3,500.

All money raised for the institute will go toward its Claudia Adams Barr Program
in Innovative Basic Cancer Research. Since the Dana-Farber Institute began the Marathon Challenge in 1990, participants have raised $52 million for the program.
