The quaint Hartford Street Presbyterian Church catches the eyes of those passing by with colorful paintings of stained glass windows and crosses handcrafted on the outside of the building. Families may attend Sunday mass at 10 a.m., while children are invited to visit the nursery or Sunday School at that time. Adult retreats and Bible studies are offered throughout the year. At Sunday mass, parishoners chime in on a variety of music, from traditional church hymns to jazz classics. Hartford Street Presbyterian boasts three choirs -- one for adults, one for children, and the Alleluia choir made up of its West African parishoners.
