Natick Police say a dispute over a washing machine led to an assault on Cedar Avenue.
An argument stemming from the shared use of a clothes washing machine led Natick's Richard Heaton to assault his neighbor, a person older than 60, Natick Police said. Heaton, age 55, from 90 Cedar Ave. in Natick, was arrested on July 28 and charged with assault and battery on a person older than 60 and intimidation of a witness. Natick Police Department's Brian Lauzon said Heaton would not let the victim leave the area to report the alleged crime, resulting in the intimidation charge. There were no weapons used in the alleged assault and no injuries were reported, Lauzon said.
