Detective Gives Back Through Biking
John Haswell and his family will participate in the Cape Cod Getaway Multiple Sclerosis fundraiser.
He’s biked from Portland, Maine to Orlando, Fla. in 22 days and he enjoys fundraising. But there isn’t a ride that’s more important to Natick detective John Haswell than the 150-mile “Cape Cod Getaway” fundraiser, sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. “This cause is closer to me than others, because it affected me. I see what the money and the fundraising can do to help people,” said the Natick resident, who has experience MS. “I’m very fortunate to have recovered from [Multiple Sclerosis] and have recovered successfully.
