AAA: Gas Prices Up 6 Cents

The average price for unleaded gas in Massachusetts of $3.48 is still 10 cents lower than the national average.

Press release from AAA of Southern New England: Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are up six cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England, whose closest office is in Framingham off Route 9. AAA’s May 13 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.48 per gallon, six cents higher than a week ago. Prices locally are up a cent over the past month. The current price is 10 cents less than the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.58. A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was 23 cents more at $3.71. The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 34 cents, from a low of $3.35 to a high of $3.69. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices …

Gas Prices Surge More Than 30 Cents in a Month; Are you Driving Less?

The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline has gone from $3.43 to $3.74 in Massachusetts over the past month.

Gas prices in Natick continue their upward march, with prices reaching the highest point ever in February and up more than a quarter in the past month. AAA Southern New England said its survey of prices in Massachusetts on Monday found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.72 per gallon, four cents higher than a week ago and up 31 cents over the past month. The national average for self serve unleaded of $3.73 and a year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $3.60. Gas Prices Up 14 Cents in MA

AAA announced its latest survey.

The increase of crude oil resulted in an upward tick of 14 cents for gas prices in Massachusetts, according to AAA Southern New England.  A Feb. 4 AAA survey of prices in the bay state found that self-serve, regular unleaded averaged at $3.59 per gallon, which is 14 cents higher than a week ago. "Prices locally are up 14 cents over the past month, but haven’t increased as quickly as they did this time last year," reads the release. "The current price is seven cents above the national average for self-serve unleaded of $3.52. A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $3.49." The range in prices in AAA's survey for unleaded regular is 30 cents, from a low of $3.49 to a high of $3.79.

Which Natick Gas Stations Have the Cheapest Gas?

Gas prices in the area have increased by 20 cents over the past month.

The lower gas price of a month ago is now just a memory as regular gas prices have increased by 20 cents over the past month in the Boston area. The average regular gallon of gas is $3.80 today in the Boston area compared to $3.60 just a month ago. Mid-range gas is now $3.94 compared to $3.76 from a month ago and premium has increased to $4.07 from $3.88, according to AAA. Closer to home, there are at least three stations charging less than the area average -- Hess on Worcester Street has regular gas at $3.72 and Mobil on Central street is charging $3.80 per gallon. POLL: Do Higher Gas Prices Affect Your Driving Habits?

With Gas prices on the rise across that country, we want to know if they change the way you treat driving you car.

It's only March, but gas prices have been on the rise for several months now and are already up significantly since this time last month. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, regular grade consumer gas prices will more than 20 cents higher per gallon than last summer. "During the April through September summer driving season this year, prices are forecast to average about $3.92 per gallon with a peak monthly average price of $3.96 per gallon in May," the EIA website says.
