Local Star Makes NRA 'Anti-Gun' List

Natick football great Doug Flutie is on the most recent list of National Organizations With Anti-Gun Policies.

The Huffington Post is reporting that local football legend Doug Flutie is one of the hundreds of organizations, individuals and celebrities who is on the National Rifle Association's 'Organizations with Anti-Gun Policies'. The NRA doesn't appear to explain the purpose of this list, which also includes the AARP and Oprah Winfrey, but analysis of it makes it appear that it provides a list of organizations, people and products to boycott. The list is put together by placing people and organizations who have given money or other types of support to anti-gun organizations or campaigns, according to the NRA. What Do You Think of the NRA Call for 'Armed Security' Around Schools?

"The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun," the NRA's Wayne LaPierre said.

The National Rifle Association broke its weeklong silence following the shooting of 26 people at a school in Newtown, CT, and called for a surge of gun-carrying "good guys" around American schools. NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre called for a new kind of American domestic security revolving around armed civilians, arguing that "the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun."
