The Redhawk design is final: what do you think?
The design for the Natick High Redhawks logo has been finalized. Completed by Fassino Design (owner Diane Fassino is a Natick High graduate), the logo will go on the gym floor sometime in July. "The students liked the 'N' and this hawk, so we put them together to form the final design," said Principal Rose Bertucci. The logo was the subject of a vote of the student body earlier this month. The Redhawks were selected in May as the new mascot.

An informal vote of eighth-graders from both middle schools also showed Red Hawks as the favorite. "There's still a wound …

The votes are in; an announcement about the high school's new mascot should come tomorrow.
Natick High Principal Rose Bertucci is expected to reveal the school community's choice for a new mascot by tomorrow, the latest. Students and staff voted Tuesday for their favorite of the following: Natick Knights, Natick Legacy, Natick Pride, Natick Red Hawks and Natick Tribe. In an email this week, Bertucci said the votes, which are stored in a safe, were scheduled to be counted yesterday afternoon. Superintendent Peter Sanchioni will see the name before it is released to the public Friday, at the latest. In our Patch poll, readers as of Thursday afternoon preferred "Red Hawks." If you haven't already, weigh in with your choice.

its unfortunate--political correctness is the ultimate dishonesty--its a way of expression based on what you want others to think of you rather than what one really thinks/feels. whats disturbing is PC fits nicely with people that tend (90% of the population) to follow instead of thinking critically.   more ›
