Thegraysmatter.com, based in Natick, was created by two local seniors to help other seniors stay connected and active in their golden years.
As Americans age, it becomes more and more challenging to stay physically and socially active, two things necessary for a long and healthy life. Two local seniors with a passion for keeping connected to the world have started an Online business in Natick to meet others just like them. Pete Phildius, who turns 82 this month, and his business partner Diane Glass, 69, founded thegraysmatter.com just a few weeks ago—a project that took them two years to create, while working on a variety of other business ideas. The Online company, run out of Natick, offers opportunities for seniors to blog, discuss issues, share book reviews and recipes, links to information for seniors, tips to keep your brain active and more. Bill's Pizzeria is now open and paying tribute to the Natick Pizza Palace, which formerly inhabited the location.
Bill's Pizzeria opened for its first full day Tuesday. The restaurant, which moved in to the old Natick Pizza Palace location, is renovated and has a completely new feel. Paying tribute to the spot's previous inhabitants, Bill's Pizzeria dedicated a bench outside to the Ganas family, who owned Natick Pizza, a landmark in town for years. A "Bill's" sign that hangs in the kitchen is made from a sign from the old business. Bill's Pizzeria has another location in Newton.

This new building on Route 135 will hold retail space. What does Natick lack or need more of that you'd like to see go here?
If you've driven down Route 135 in the past several months, you've probably noticed the new construction project going up next to the Natick Animal Clinic. In our, "You Asked, Patch Answers" column last month, we let you know that this new building will have retail space on the first floor and offices on the second, according to Town Administrator Martha White. So far, it has not been determined what businesses will fill the space. So, we're wondering, what would you like to see open in this building? What does Natick lack that you and your neighbors could use? Tell us in the comments section!

Located in Natick Center, new business Renew Arts & Industry is bringing life back to vintage design treasures and giving local artists a space to showcase their works.
In the six years that One80 Visual media design business has been stationed in Natick Center, it's unusual and artistic storefront displays have drawn in countless curious passerbys. But once inside, the "business to business" design company had little to show the art browsers interested in purchasing the vintage pieces they had on display as a part of their own decor. That repeated interest is what sparked One80 owner Patrice Goldman to team up with sisters Marcia Brooks and Diane Brooks Ring to create Renew Arts & Industry —a new business inside One80 that collects and sells their old treasures to the community. "We've always had an appreciation of not only original art, but vintage and decorative items," said Goldman, as the business …
