Arrests: OUI Liquor

The following information was provided by the Natick Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Sept. 26 2:29 a.m.: After a motor vehicle stop, officers arrested Jorge Cruz, 22, from 37 Hill Tower Rd. in Framingham and charged him with OUI liquor and marked lanes violation.

A forked lawn, a drive-thru snafu and an ironic crash are among the quirky items reported in MetroWest-area police logs this week.

Judging from its popularity across the region, it seems everyone loves the local police blotter (except, maybe, the people who are featured in it). Whether looking at police news through the vantage point of a reporter or a reader, we've all seen things that make us scratch our collective head. They're the tidbits that people mention at the water cooler, "lighter" news that gives us pause or makes us think, "oh my gosh." When I collected the police log in Milford, I remember writing about a trucker who pulled over to the side of the road to urinate, and was then chased around town by a woman who condemned him as a flasher.
