Natick Couple First to Adopt Shar Pei Rescued from Braintree Home
18 dogs were found in the home of a Braintree resident last month after the MSCPA received an anonymous tip.
A Natick couple, John and Lily Storm, has adopted the first of 13 purebread Shar Peis that MSPCA-Angell rescued from unsanitary conditions after raiding a Braintree home following an anonymous tip. Hundreds of people have contacted the agency seeking to adopt the dogs after the news of their misfortune became publicized last week. “Taco,” a 6-month old Shar Pei, has now been happily adopted, while the other 12 continue to recover at the MSPCA-Angell adoption center in Jamaica Plain. Taco was neutered after being rescued and also underwent eye surgery, spokesman Rob Halpin said in an email.
