Veteran and Young Singer Come Together in Love of Children's Music

Stacey Peasley and Alissa Coates have developed a passion for teaching children their love of music.

Singer/songwriter Stacey Peasley opened up Boston Aardvarks, part of the program Music for Aardvarks and other Mammals in September, 2009. The classes, which are for children between the ages of six months and five years include all things musical from singing to dancing to use of instruments. Peasley, who also has her own children’s music band, has been performing children’s music since 2008. Prior to that she performed for adults for several years, and is now in her 20th year of performing music. She also teaches music to infants to Pre-K at the Tobin Children’s School. Peasley recently added a new teacher at Boston Aardvarks. Alissa Coates has a degree in music education from Berklee College of Music, and she also teaches music at Our …

A Cappella and Children's Music Rock TCAN's Stage

The following shows are happening at the Center for Arts in Natick this weekend.

No need to go into Boston to find entertainment this weekend, there's plenty happening the Center for Arts in Natick to fill your schedule. On Friday night, local bands will show off their talents to the TCAN audience. Levity, Atrous Crown, Red Fox Motel, Blackwell are on the list to perform. Admission is $8. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Stacey Peasley Band will perform songs from her new children's CD. Peasley, a Natick resident, won the Mid Atlantic Songwriter's contest with her song, "Soapy Bubbles," and last year she earned the Nick Jr. Parents Pick Award for Best Kids Party Entertainer, according to TCAN. Guests are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children. The …
