Update: Two Alarm Fire Put out on Worcester Street

A two alarm fire was put out on Worcester Street today.

Update: Only the owner apartment of the Travelodge was affected directly by the fire, according to fire officials at the scene. No one was injured in the fire. No other units were directly affected by the fire, which involved the sauna area of the unit, although there was smoke damage to some adjacent units. Original Story: The fire department put out a two alarm fire at 1350 Worcester Street shortly before noon today. The address is listed as the Natick Travelodge. Scanner reports indicate a fire happened in the sauna on the first floor. Fire officials were still on scene shortly after the fire had been extinguished and no additional information was available. Police Log: Homeless Man Charged with Trafficking Cocaine

The following information was supplied by the Natick Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Patch prints all arrests.

At 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, a caller at Travelodge at 1350 Worcester Rd. requested an ambulance for a medical issue. After arriving on the scene, police said drug evidence was found at the scene, resulting in the arrest of a 32-year-old homeless man. Jerome Lynn Pitts was charged with trafficking in cocaine and and possession to distribute a Class A drug, according to Natick Police.

Police Log: Man Arrested at Travel Lodge

At 7:21 p.m. Tuesday, Natick Police arrested David Timothy Bradford, 36, at the Natick Travelodge at 1350 Worcester Rd. Bradford allegedly had probation default warrants out in his name, according to police.
