Vi Tutuny Honored as 'Unsung Heroine'

Natick resident Vi Tutuny was named to the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women's 2012 Class of Unsung Heroines for her contributions to the town.

  Natick resident Violetta Tutuny, better known around town as "Vi" has been named a member of 2012 Class of Unsung Heroines by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. Rep. David Linksy nominated Tutuny for her years of service to the town, working as a teacher in the Natick Public Schools for 40 years and helping to found the Natick Food Pantry in 1981. The new food pantry, which opened in 2009, was renamed the Vi Tutuny Food Pantry. “It was my honor to nominate Vi Tutuny as a Unsung Heroine,” said Linsky. “To call Vi Tutuny a devoted Natick resident is an understatement.
