Winter Weather Returns, Possibly With More Snow

Meteorologists aren't committing yet, but a few inches of snow could fall Saturday night.

It's been nice and warm all week (well, relatively), but that's all going to change this weekend. Meteorologists from Boston TV networks all agree the temperatures are going to drop. They all also agree we will probably get some snow Saturday night. They don't, however, agree how much snow. Snowfall Predictions Vary Largely for Friday Storm

It's going to snow this weekend, but how much will we get?

The state and national news networks all agree on one thing: there is a storm coming to town for Friday and Saturday. What they don't agree on is how much snowfall you're going to see. As of 11 p.m. Tuesday night, estimates range from 3 inches to nearly 2 feet. A report from Jim Arnold, weather specialist with the Shrewsbury Management Agency, said the storm will likely begin Thursday and could leave 10 to 15 inches across the area. The Weather Channel said the storm will likely peak Friday night around 10 p.m. They are focusing on two very different possibilities, one that could dump nearly 2 feet in the Natick area, the other showing less than 3 inches.
