Where is the Most Dangerous Intersection in Natick?

Natick Patch recently observed several cars turn right on red at an intersection in which doing so is prohibited. Have you seen similar things occur at other intersections in Natick?

On a recent day (before the snow), Natick Patch set about walking around town and noticed several cars turning right on red at the intersection of E. Central St. & S. Main St. This four-way interection has clearly marked signs that state that there is not right on red allowed, yet many people apparently felt like ignoring them. Maybe they were simply in a rush. Maybe they just didn't care. We don't know their reason. But we did video one car whose driver appeared to hesitate when at the red light before finally choosing to turn right. Is this a common occurence around town? Do you think some of the intersections where there is no right on red should allow it? Where are the worst intersections in Natick? Tell us in the comments section.

Where is the Most Dangerous Intersection in Town?

A map issued by the Natick Police Department shows where crashes occurred during October.

The Natick Police Department has released a map of the locations of the 75 reported crashes in Natick during the month of October. Eight percent of those crashes included injuries. On Thursday, a pedestrian was hit by a motor vehicle while crossing in a crosswalk near the intersection of Washington Street and South Avenue. Today we're asking you from your experiences, what do you think are the most dangerous intersections in town? Let us know in the comments section.

First of all, accident statistics have been compiled and published by Metro West Daily News, and the folks above are picking by seat of pants. Danger is apparently a psychological term in this set of rants. The 5 way near Walnut St is not perfect, but as long as no one tries being a Masshole and flying out of their stop signs to be first in fight, it can be a very orderly, if buttressed …   more ›
