Wednesday, Oct. 24 8:49 a.m.: Police stopped a vehicle on Hartford Street. Paul Benedict Jackson, 34, of 47 Walnut Pl., Apt. 1, Newton, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and having no inspection sticker. 1:51 p.m.: Police stopped a vehicle at Boden Lane and Tamarack Road. Herminio Desouza, 45, of 171 Irving St., Apt. 1, Framingham, was arrested and charged on a warrant for negligent operation, leaving the scene of property damage and a marked lanes violation.

Wednesday, Oct. 17 2:35 p.m.: Police responded to Lord & Taylor, 1237 Worcester St., after security detained a reported shoplifter. Denise Rodriguez, 39, of 39 Boylston Rd., Newton, was arrested and charged with larceny over $250. Police said she stole $720 worth of merchandise.

Herring, 44, had a warrant out from Ashland for violation of a court order and one from Natick for malicious destruction to a motor vehicle, police said. 1:22 p.m.: A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested at the Brandon School at 27 Winter St. The student was charged with two counts of assault and battery and one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to police, who do no disclose the names of juvenile offenders.
