ReplyThe Patch is a fine place to rant about a losing political campaign. A meeting of an elected body is not.

Saying that one does a ridiculous thing "out of respect" does not necessarily make the thing less ridiculous. In fact the statement that one is doing it "out of respect" becomes a compounded ridiculousness.

ReplyOther candidates: Bacon and Marion, Marion and North Ave., North Main and Washington, South Main and Cottage, Cemetery and West Central, Eliot and Everett. Wellesley needs to worry about Bacon and route 135.

That intersection should be reconstructed so that cars all stop where they can see what other cars are already stopped on other streets. The stop line for cars going north on Walnut is way too far from the center of the intersection. And that split yellow line on Bacon Street does not conform to any road design standard that I know. The town might also consider either making Chestnut one-way at that intersection or curbing over the end of Chestnut altogether.

Exactly, Ms. Fisher. They need to be placed better. In some cases they should place two signs. The ones on the traffic light booms are great during the day for most people, but not for all people. And they are invisible after dark. Adding a lower sign on the side of the road would help avoid people believing that the no-turn policy is a ticket trap.

ReplyThese were two British lawyers? Two prostitutes? What?
So Sudbury is preventing shoveling now after snowstorms? Keeping the world safe for snobbery, eh?

ReplyOf the over thirty communities within ten miles of Natick, there are three that have a lower median residential tax bill. Tell us which of the three you would like to move to Natalie, and maybe we can all help you make that happen.
