There has been much discussion about who is and who isn’t a Bristolian.  I must admit that I am proud to be a Bristolian, not because it makes me better than a resident who moved to Bristol, but because I am proud to be born in the beautiful town!  I am a 2nd generation descendent of immigrants from Sao Miguel and grew up in Bristol.  I met my husband, Don, while in college and married him soon after graduation.  Unfortunately, he passed away in 2001 after a long battle with cancer.  I have a daughter, Sarah, who is a grown woman, and also lives in Bristol.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s in Instructional Technology.  I am currently the Executive Director of Mosaico Community Development Corporation, where I manage all of Mosaico programs, including jobs training, workforce development, Sense of Pride, mentoring, and community development programs. Mosaico recently purchased the Bristol Industrial Park at 500 Wood Street, which also keeps me very busy.

I am honored to serve on the Bristol Warren Regional School Committee and the Parks and Recreation Board. I am also the sole proprietor of Seal Island Enterprises, developing websites for small businesses and non-profits. My other work experiences include teaching and working in the corporate world in the area of technology, training and communications.
