Maddie Welch, Neighbor

Maddie was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  She is the mother of two bilingual children, ages 5 and 8.  Maddie holds a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Princeton University and a Masters in Bilingual Education from Boston University.  She has worked as a bilingual teacher in Massachusetts for over 10 years.  She also has a broad background in music and theater. As co-founder of <strong>La Casita Azul</strong>, Maddie is thrilled to finally combine her commitment to bilingual education with her passion for the Arts. Maddie is currently a trained and registered instructor for the international early childhood music program <strong>Music Together</strong>(TM). In addition to developing programs for <strong>La Casita Azul</strong>, Maddie is the creator/founder of <strong>Canta y Baila Conmigo</strong>(TM), a unique curriculum that combines early music education with Spanish language immersion.
