Since last fall Jeff Buccacio has been working with the town of Sudbury to restore a Civil War Statue just off Route 20 at the Goodnow Library.
The Natick sculptor began working on the project, which also restoration of the sign for the library, planning of a new garden surrounding the statue and removing a tree that obscured the view of the library.
Buccacio was the first to work on restoring the statue in more than 100 years since it was dedicated in 1897 to honor the Sudbury residents who lost their lives in the war.
