Police Log: Natick Man Leads Police on Chase

Saturday, Dec. 3

1:31 a.m.: A Natick man led police on a brief chase by car and foot early Saturday morning after an attempted motor vehicle stop. Mark J. Wilcon, 47, a resident of 8 Cochituate St. Apt. 2B, allegedly led the chase beginning near West Central Street and Parker Court, speeding onto Washington Avenue and onto Summer Street where said he drove through a stop sign before running from his car. Wilcon was charged with OUI second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, speeding, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to stop at a stop sign, a lights violation and resisting arrest, according to police.

4:42 p.m.: Sebastian Ortiz of 56 Beaver Park Rd. Apt. B in Framingham was arrested for alleged shoplifting by concealment from Sears in the , according to police.

7:44 p.m.: A 16-year-old juvenile and 17-year-old Waltham teen were arrested for allegedly attempting to shoplift from Macy's in the Natick Mall, according to police. The juvenile and Wendy Fernandez of 22 Calvary St. #1 in Waltham were both charged with larceny over $250 and conspiracy, police said. The pair reportedly attempted to steal $352.98 in merchandise.

11:37 p.m.: Natick police received a phone call reporting a hit and run crash on Route 9. The victim reportedly followed the other driver to Route 135, where she was later arrested. Linda M. Martis, 42, of 1080 Edgell Rd. in Framingham, was charged with OUI liquor according to police.
